In preparation for our upcoming meeting on June 9th and to address a question from another forum I'd like to list just exactly a paid membership includes Fourth Corner Ducati:

1. Email:  All members are allocated their own email account.
   
   
   
   1. Mailbox sizes are modest but plenty large enough for to keep dozens of emails.

      1. Email accounts retain our domain
      
      
      2. You can forward them to another account or use us as your primary
      
      
      3. We will NOT data mine or read your emails like GMail or some others.  Having experience on other boards we absolutely will not read your emails...nor do I have time to
      
      
      
      
   
   
   
   


2. Web Page:  Each member in the Fourth Corner Ducati portal receives space to setup a basic web page.  You can add images, a personal history, running monlogue, etc.  Explore the tool bar, a lot can be done with basic tools.


3. T-shirts:  Upon receipt of your membership commitment we will mail you t-shirt transfers to be ironed onto whatever shirt you like.  We prefer a khaki Dickies work shirt to keep in the theme of wrenching but you are free to use them how you like.  (in the future we hope to have pathes as well)


4. Business card:  Also upon your commitment payment I will setup and email you a copy of our business cards and friendly "You've been spotted" Fourth Corner Ducati cards.
   
   
   
   1. These will be in Adobe PDF so you can print them on glossy card stock from Kinko's very easily.
   
   
   2. The "you've been spotted" cards can be placed (gingerly and without damaging) another ducatista's bike and send them a friendly hail.
   
   
   
   


5. Online chat and meetings
   
   
   
   1. Don't live in Seattle or King county?  Me neither.  That's why we've established an online chat room for members.  This will be fully active once we've established paid member fees.  We have already demonstrated it's usefulness during our first club meeting back in January.
   
   
   2. we are working on a "who's online" feature that may make this more fun as well.
   
   
   
   


6. Future:  As our membership grows...so will the offerings, and their quality.  In the future we hope to be able to provide embroidered patches, t-shirts, printed business cards etc.  Several of these things are in place and just waiting for the combined funding of an active membership. 

Bottm Line: So what will the cost of membership be?  That is to be discussed at the June 9th meeting.  Be there or email me with your concerns 'prior' to the meeting.   Of course I have a number in my head that has been discussed at previous meetings.  It is less than other DOC's in the region.  However before enacting it I would like a live presentation and vote of present members on June 9th at Eastside MotoSports.  Exact time is TBA.
