I just put on a 999 rebuild showa shock with a eibach spring on my s2r1000 monster.  lifts the rear a bit but you can adjust for that.

ya just gotta ask....why?  why not 'buy' a superbike?  Why ruin a perfectly good Monster turning it into some homologated Frankenstein....not very "ducatisti".

I don't know about you, but I've seen numerous pictures of competitors [that actually won] the Ducati Monster Challenge with something a little different on there bike... or, in most cases, completely changed bikes. We all have our own tastes and wants for our own bikes. The new shock looks neat, and it rides well... just another addition to an already good looking bike!!

uh what Monster Challenge? and yeah there's individuality.  Then again....the stock monster shock is adjustable up to the mid range superbike shock.  It's all in where your're riding.

On the street you'll never need the full capability of a superbike anything really.

You could always put on some gold Harley spokes too.
