Pleased to announcement the arrival of my M696
Up to Monsters
Finally, FINALLY got my 696. It arrived a week late. It was a tough week.
) I've been on it as much as I could to rack up the miles and get through the break-in procedure as fast as I can. 342 miles down and 238 to go. This is absolutely the finest motorcycle I have ever owned or ridden. It is *almost* perfect. I find it to be geared a little too high. I mean, 40 mph in first gear. So, I have decided to get the smaller front sprocket and see if I like that. I am not interested in pipes, remapping or squeezing out more horsepower. I just want to put power where I need it. I like 'quick', not really high speed. So, we'll see how it goes.
Oh and after the $11K wallet-ectomy (with pre-paid 3 year service), the Skagit Powersports offered me a job. I'll be working in the service department to support my new addiction.
Cheers!

Congrats on the new ride AND on the new job. Now that they niceties are out of the way, does your new job mean that you'll be extending special discounts on parts and accessories to you new best friends from the FCDucati Forum? ;>
