Hello from Laguna Seca!.....and What the....?!

Posted by RockStar at July 17. 2008

So we get down to Monterey today in preparation to watch the MotoGP this weekend (and meet Casey Stoner!).  Start unloading the bikes and WTF?!

I bump into my break lever and the damn thing snaps right off!!!  Pic included.  If the casting this part worked for me....he wouldn't be very long.  I'm still searching for a shop that has one in stock!!

bad sand casting

That sucks! Not that your lever broke, but that you're down there and I'm up here wishing that I was there! Just kidding, well, not that I wish that I was there, but about the lever; that sucks! Does CRG or Pazzo have a booth down there? Maybe it's time to justify a bit of bling?

We need an update. Tell the unfortunate ones what's going on down there. Who's riding well. Who's struggling. What about the "scenery" (wink, wink). This thread is worthless without more pictures.

On a serious note, I hope you get the lever fixed ASAP and have a great time.

Oh ya! Thanks a million to Moto Italiano in Captiale (near Santa Cruz).  they had a lever in stock and were very nice and helpful both on the phone and in person.  Small shop, tons of bikes and good service.

There are some really cool levers at the track.....they are top secret ;) ...until I buy some today!!! way coolio.

Practice sessions were great on Friday bikes were hella loud.  Scenery is ok, hopefully much more today.

And of course Ducati Island makes paying a little extra for a motorcycle well worth it....shade, owners hospitality with free espresso, water and a plasma T.V.! oh ya baby.

Was wacky tired last night, I'll post up some eye candy this evening.
